Join Fecane Child Foundation in empowering vulnerable children through sports and education
Transforming Vulnerable Lives Through Purpose, Play & Empowerment
At Fecane Child Foundation, we believe that every child—no matter where they’re born—deserves a chance to grow, learn, and lead. Based in the heart of Uganda’s most underserved slum communities, we use football, education, creative arts, and life skills as powerful tools to uplift children, youths, and families trapped in cycles of poverty.
We don’t wait for change. We build it. From the ground up. With the people. For the people.
We support children who have dropped out—or never had a chance to begin. From school fees to uniforms, we remove the financial and social barriers keeping kids from learning.
Coming Soon:
We are working to rebuild abandoned primary schools in Bwaise and Kawala to offer free or low-cost education to over 1,000 vulnerable children.
We don’t just focus on children—we uplift families too. We run grassroots support programs for single mothers, unemployed youth, and struggling households.
Our efforts include:
Emergency food and clothing
Family counseling and referrals
Economic empowerment through skills training
We run structured football, netball, and gymnastics training for vulnerable boys and girls in the slums of Wakiso District. More than just a game, sports teach discipline, teamwork, confidence, and resilience.
Our impact so far:
Trained over 500+ children and youth
Held local tournaments that unite the community
Connected talents to regional academies and mentor
Through workshops and daily activities, we teach vital life skills that aren’t taught in school: communication, hygiene, goal-setting, leadership, emotional intelligence, and positive self-esteem.
We provide:
One-on-one and group mentorship
Personal development sessions
Peer leadership clubs and role model programs
Fighting Hunger. Fueling Hope. In the slums of Wakiso and Kampala, hunger is a daily crisis.
Meals during football, netball, and training sessions
Emergency food packages for families in crisis
School meal support to keep children in class
Special feeding days during holidays and community events
Dance. Drama. Music. Art. We use creativity as therapy for trauma, self-expression, and community pride.
Children are given:
Safe spaces to perform and heal
Platforms to tell their stories
Confidence to reclaim their voice
Fecane Child Foundation is not a temporary aid project. It’s a movement to build a self-sustaining, resilient generation of youth who will transform their communities from within.
We are working towards:
A permanent sports and learning center
Nationwide expansion of our programs
Building global partnerships that scale impact
We are rooted in the slum areas of Kawala and Bwaise in Wakiso District, Uganda—places often overlooked, but full of potential, talent, and untold stories.
Together, we’re creating more than change.
We’re building a future where every child thrives.
